The machine Model GATIM/40-FB-EVO for the making of wirehoods,
provides a series of subsequent working stations.
OEach station has a well defined job
STAR BODY
The first work station will produce a metal thread of a definite size, and this will be the body, later on called “star”.
Thanks to the use of brushless electric motors, you can change
the twisting of each single leg of the wire-hood body (also in function of the characteristics of the thread you use).
DROP SHAPED SEAT
The so-formed “stars” will be then sent to a system that will squeeze and rotate the ends of the legs, thus forming the drop-shaped seat: this will later receive the thread that is going to form the belt.
TRUNCATED CONE
The “star” passes then to a system that draws its body, giving it a truncated cone shape , without damaging the thread. With this system we can adjust the inclination of the legs,so avoiding extreme pressure during the insertion of the body in the following systems.

ROTATING TABLE
The “star” moves now forward through the various stations with the help of a proper bar. The bar translates the “star” and drives it into a proper housing mounted on a rotary table system. Through the rotary table you get to the group of belt making. Now a second thread is slipped through the eyelets, before being fastened on itself.
CAP
At this point the so formed wire-hood is led to the next station, where the cap will be inserted. The cap will be inserted and blocked with a special punch and in this case the movement is electro-mechanical. If the user wants to have his wire-hood without cap, he can give his order from the display to exclude the insertion of the cap
CALIBRATION
If correctly shaped, the wire-hood will be sent to a group that carries out a calibration operation, so that all wire-hoods will be exactly identical, thus reaching a high quality standard. Once the wire-hoods are being calibrated, they will be sent to a tunnel where they will be counted, correctly stacked and then sent to a warehouse, ready to be packaged.
The main movements of the machine are obtained by means of brushless electric motors: this allows changing both accelerations/decelerations and speed by means of a touch-screen, but also to perfectly synchronize the movements of the various groups.
Another characteristic of the machine is its flexibility: as a matter of fact, it is planned in a way that, with just small and mainly mechanical operations, you can switch from a high quality wire-hood to a cheaper one.
